Policies

Terms of use

Purpose and scope

Steady is provided by Grief advocacy, inc. Contact Sarah@griefadvocacy.com for product support. You are contracting with Grief advocacy, inc. By using Steady, and by continuing to use it, you agree to these terms. You must have authority to act for your organization.

Steady supports workplace bereavement-leave planning through guidance, check-ins, message drafts and return-to-work plans.

Appropriate use

Use Steady only when authorized by your organization and only for legitimate workplace support. Keep account credentials secure. Do not upload material you have no right to use, interfere with the service, or use it to harass, discriminate against or monitor employees improperly.

Respect the employee’s wishes and share only information needed for leave coordination and workplace support.

Professional judgment and employee rights

Steady does not provide legal, medical, clinical or emergency advice. Guidance does not replace your employer’s policies, HR review, collective agreements or applicable law. Verify entitlements, accommodations and other decisions with qualified professionals.

Nothing in these terms is intended to reduce employee rights or replace an employer’s legal obligations.

Company documents and AI-generated content

Upload only documents your organization is authorized to provide. Authorized HR admins manage company documents; signed-in team members can read their summaries.

AI may generate inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable summaries and messages. Review output against source documents and the employee’s circumstances before using it. Drafts are not sent automatically.

Company workspace and responsibility

Each company has its own workspace. Leaves, notes, check-ins and Steady Plan answers are shared with that company’s members, not other companies. Your organization should limit who receives an invitation and decide what information belongs in its workspace.

Ownership and permitted use

Grief advocacy, inc. retains ownership of Steady software, branding, documentation and guidance. Your organization retains rights in its inputs and may use generated outputs for its workplace support, subject to third-party rights. You grant limited permission to host and process inputs solely to provide the service. Rights-holder complaints may be sent to Sarah@griefadvocacy.com; infringing material may be removed and repeated infringement may lead to suspension.

Service availability and suspension

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may restrict content or suspend access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. Do not use the service for unlawful activity, fraud, spam, infringement, malware, unauthorized probing or scraping.

AI inputs and outputs must not be used for illegal content, deepfakes, hate speech, malware or bypassing safeguards. You are responsible for input rights, prompts, output accuracy and how you use outputs. We may refuse or filter requests or restrict content; professional decisions require human oversight.

Annual licenses and billing

Steady offers annual company licenses covering 5 new leaves for 149, 10 for 229, or 25 for 269, in CAD for Canadian clients and USD otherwise, plus applicable taxes. Licenses renew annually until canceled. Every new leave consumes one allowance; deleting or closing a leave does not restore it. Allowances reset each paid year without rollover.

Upgrades are charged on a prorated basis immediately. Downgrades change the allowance at the next renewal. Cancellation stops renewal, with access continuing until the paid period ends. Paddle is our online reseller and Merchant of Record, handling payment, tax, billing inquiries and refunds. Payment mechanics are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms at https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms. Grief advocacy, inc. offers a 14-day refund request period; see the Refund policy. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Liability, disputes and changes

Steady is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may update these terms and will post the updated version on this page. Contact Sarah@griefadvocacy.com with questions.
